Our whole grain yellow grits have subtle, yet more robust corn flavor than our white grits making them a favorite with chefs. We stone grind the whole nutrient dense grain including the bran and the heart or "germ". (Most store-bought grits are purposefully denatured by removing the bran and the germ so that they'll last on the shelf indefinitely.) This is why storing these grits in your refrigerator or freezer will prolong their freshness. Yellow grits are scrumptious served with country fried steak or shrimp, but folks enjoy them for breakfast, too. Like all of our products, they're stone ground from Tennessee-grown Certified Organic corn.
